Geodes

We have always wanted to go geode hunting! Mike Madsen and his dad took us to the geode beds on a  hot Saturday morning, and after a loooong drive we couldn't wait to get out of the car!  We snuck into the section where the "steam shovel" had been digging earlier this week and found ourselves some treasures!  Amazing what is inside when it just looks like a round-ish rock!

  They still need a cleaning out but see the pretty purple inside?  When we clean them up they sparkle and shine brilliantly.

Breaking open the babies of the loot.  Hannah and Sydney ended up going around to the neighbors and selling their leftovers.  The made good money! So proud of my entrepreneurs :)
