The Tree walk

After we spent time with the awesome birds, we stopped and had some snacks and let the kids run around for a bit. Actually they mostly just kept climbing up and down the big rock next to the picnic table but we all had fun as usual. We decided to venture in for the tree walk and Adam took some time to teach Sydney about "decomposing" and rain forests. I love that he did that. Sydney really loves her daddy and when he teaches her, she listens closely.
The tree top walk is a suspension bridge, above ground, amongst the trees. It's a beautiful way to witness the things around us from another angle.
This tree Sydney is standing in is a tree that was strangled by parasite vines and now is a huge towering tree of vines. With the original tree stump decomposed, it is hollow inside!

Still on the path through the rain forest getting to the canopy. I love my little dude:

Kirra is going up the stairs to see the view. There are 2 observation decks above her:

The view at the top of the observation deck. About 110 feet up:

Some of the amazing things we were able to see:

Sydney and Ella

And once again Adam is able to make me laugh with a "moss beard". Eew.

Look at the gorgeous Wallaby that greeted us on our way out of O'Reilly's:
