Silverton, Colorado

And we are off again! Heading up the Million Dollar Highway towards Silverton.  This view is so beautiful-I know I keep saying that! But everywhere we went it was just gorgeous!
We stopped at Silverton for some quick lunch and a little window shopping. We decided we wanted to do a mining tour, all these boys were so excited! Still raining and wet but we weren't going to let it stop us! Since it was nap time we left the babies in the warm car while Grandma and Grandpa tended them. Deborah also left Camden and Janell stayed back to avoid the claustrophobia (Thank goodness she was smart enough to do that! It was tight)

Silverton is a true Wild West town.  The gold and silver mining had such a huge impact and the tourism thrives on it still today. Id love to spend a whole day there!

On to the mining tour- we even got to ride in a cart to go deep into the belly of the mountain!

And cute Tyce looked like a minion, haha!

Fire in the hole!!!!

Kyler got asked to help demonstrate how they used to use a hammer and a pick to drive force in to the rocks-yikes! I couldn't even imagine....

And then the gift shop time! The kids each picked out a stone and Sydney bought a small jar of gold, Kirra bought Silver and Finn bought the copper.  It was so fun!
