Loch Lomond Golf Club

We have been members at Loch Lomond for some time now but I have never taken pictures there...WHAT!?! This is Adam's favorite destination place, he consideres it God's personal acre. It is so magical and full of life. There are deer, pheasants, tons of birds, swans, ducks, and a few private hedgehogs. Fortunately for Adam, there happens to be a golf course on it as well! After breakfast in the Spike bar we took the kids for a drive around the course and let them hit a few balls.

The greens look a bit dusted since they had just been sanded for the Scottish Open held here next week.





This is what is left of Loch Lomond castle, where the family lived until 1773. They used the stones from the castle to build their Rossdhu house which is now our clubhouse:

There is also this gorgeous little chapel of St. Mary of Rossdhu on the grounds. Although the roofing is gone, the walls are all standing and there is a burial vault below the stone floor. This chapel also housed a 15th century "Book of Hours" which is now located in Auckland, New Zealand. Nobody knows how this mediaeval craftmanship ever left the chapel.




This place holds so much of our hearts. We have met so many amazing people through this golf club, it has seriously changed our lives in many wonderful ways!
