Loch Ness

Traveling up North we stopped in a small town named Fort Augustus to have some lunch and take a break. It just so happened we pulled up at the same time a piper was beginning his day shift. It was so fun to eat lunch at the Calendonian canal while he played his ditties. He was so good I almost wanted to do a jig. Almost.

Loch ness is the biggest body of water in Scotland and obviously has many stories told about the legendary "Nessie". It is said that Fort Augustus can guarantee you a view of Nessie. Actually, we saw quite a few monsters. We even got to ride on her!

Fort Augustus was the perfect stop for our lunch and is quite a nice little town.

It is well known for their water canal system which links smaller lochs access to Loch Ness. We were lucky enough to view these boats on their journey.
